Yes it was BS.
Remember the parody of him saying “In the face of change I believe in hope. In the face of hope I believe in change!”?
But he did do a very good job of presenting himself as inauthentic as he was. I didn’t vote for him but I realized that he was a very good BSer. Certainly better than Romney.
Trump can do the same, it’s just that he can do it on the fly, unscripted.
Sometimes this talent is cringy, like his praise for the vaccines. He got booed, I was there when it happened.
I wish Trump would drop the whole vaccine thing.
He’d be better off just not even mentioning it again rather than keep pushing it.
