I think the civil war decided that though. But there is no dispute that secession is allowed if you amend the constitution to allow it. You would have a hard time getting the number of states needed to approve it now. But if the libs continue to degrade the unity of the nation I think it could happen. For example if the government can’t pay the national debt…. That might be the trigger.

You are not listening. Secssion is not prohibited. They couldn't amend the USC after the war because in doing so congress would have codified the fact the the South had every legal right to secede!!!

There is no right enumerated in the U.S. Constitution to allow a state to secede, just as the Constitution does not give the states the right to allow the sale of cherry infused Dr. Pepper.

The founders didn’t set up our country that way.

To find intent of the founders, read the Constitution including the Bill of Rights and pay attention to amendments 9 and 10.
