Thank you. I read most of it, but while naming “anarcho-tyranny”, I don’t see the author attempt to explain its cause.

I believe that any job affords the possibility that the person, whose task it is, will figure out how to gain control of what that task is. Some people are driven to work. Most want to find how to escape it. This means that more people would rather figure out how to reduce the work they are required to do, than actually accomplish it.

In government, this means arresting people who don’t wear seatbelts, rather than dangerous criminals.

Worse, we have given government whole new things to do outside of governance. Most of it involves handling large sums of money. It is perfectly predictable that the people in government would abandon governance and prefer to play with all that loot.

“I don’t see the author attempt to explain its cause.”

That is a fair critique.

This is a long article (another author) who does try to explain the cause of anarcho-tyranny:

https://catholicinsight.com/succumbing-to-anarcho-tyranny/

Key quotes addressing “cause”—it is the leftist totalitarian state trying to maximize its power and control. The ultimate “cause” of course is human evil—the “will to power” of the sociopaths among us:

“a primarily Leftist State stops solving real problems while carrying out its real but undeclared Marxist agenda”

“the use of the legal system to prosecute and persecute citizens deemed to be enemies of the State.”

“It was also Francis who warned that if a power-seeking cabal ever got its way in the U.S. government, the United States and much of the Western world would descend not to classically understood ‘socialism’ but to anarcho-tyranny where no one can count on any rules in public life.”
