Treat these “teens” and “young people” like we use to treat cattle rustlers and horse thieves. It will stop.

Get a Faraday bag to keep the car key in when not in use.

Lol.
Regular keys and cops serving wooden shampoos would be a huge improvement.

“Maybe keys are a better technology.”
Women don’t like ‘fumbling’ in their purses for keys.

I like the idea of treating them as slave agricultural labor at half of minimum wage until the damage to the stolen vehicle is paid for in full—regardless of their age.

“In 2023, seven Camaros were stolen city-wide and, year-to-date, there have been 90 Camaros stolen,” bringing the percentage increase in the thefts to 1,285% Los Angeles-wide, ..Newton area itself has witnessed a 500% jump in Camaro thefts, from two in all of 2023 to 10 from Jan. 2024 to date.
Bad math, twice. From 2 to 10 is a 400% increase. From 7 to 90 is an 1185% increase.

So much for all the push button start lovers out there. This is what you get. GM’s Pass Key 3 was pretty hard to beat. Close contact RFID plus a traditional cut key lock. But good things never last.
