Man is not to be worshipped. Lust for power and riches is ungodliness.
Honest question: What are you talking about?
Everybody has a god; be it self, some other corruptible human, an object (money, things).
Or one believes in the Almighty God. He instructs us how to worship and live for him. And his followers are not to be bashful about their faith. We are not to view him as a vehicle to power, money, and/or high social recognition.
Atheists do good works, but they do not praise God secrectly or openly.
