Race is real, in the sense that it's easy to identify the vast majority of people's race. And DNA tests are the formal method for doing that.

Race matters. It's not the only thing about you that defines you, but it's a thing.

The people saying over and over again that "race is a social construct" hate these two things, but that doesn't make them less true. Many of the people who say "race is a social construct" say the same thing about gender. But, it to is easily tested for (XY and XX, and the vanishingly few others like XXY).
