I think Eisenhower has him beat, but I would call him the most sincere President since the Founding Fathers. Trump is about as close to what the Founding Fathers intended as a man can get.

I think that’s a fair comment. I also like Coolidge

He should have perhaps said one of the greatest

No, Ike was NOT that good a president.

Were you alive/paying attention to politics, when he was president?

I was alive and though rather young, I was already a news and political "junkie"; thanks to my mother and the fact that at that time, we had weekly lessons in current events in school. And I have a better than most memory, so I DO know what was what back then.

Disagree. While Eisenhower (and Coolidge} was an exceptionally good president,
Yes, he maintained the UnitedStates constitutional republic as required by his oath and defended it from Soviet communism,Truman did so as well.

‘has Trump beat’??
Are you serious??!!
Trump is defending the very existence of our Constitutional Republic from the treason within and doing so single handedly.
Eisenhower never faced the political adversity that Trump has so far fought off. (don’t go back to the war cuz not what we’re talking about)

“Trump is about as close to what the Founding Fathers intended as a man can get.”

I think that’s a fair statement. He definitely has put his fortune on the line for this country.
