It was a great business plan...spend billions of dollars to design and build vehicles no one wants to buy. What could go wrong?
According to rather lengthy lists I’ve seen, apparently there was a LOT to go wrong. It is easy to understand why many new CONVENTIONAL ICEs are not sold in greater quantities & that is ridiculously high prices compared to average wages. Then when you include a very pricey battery pack in an EV vehicle that could fail in various ways, it’s not difficult to see why they don’t sell better. Prices for these vehicles just are never going to appeal to the typical used car buyer. In fact, the typical used car buyer would be well advised to avoid an an EV even as a gift.
Notice the article has to say “Not for want of customers,” yet we see 2-3 articles a week saying they can’t sell these things except in Kollyfornia.
