Yep, people used to get dressed up like going to church to fly. Now they look like the “People of WalMart” videos.

That's due - at least, in part - to the repeated frisks and pat-downs the typical airline passenger must endure nowadays.

I used to always wear a tie (with metal tie clip), belt (with nice buckle), laced shoes, etc. - but the requirement that I practically disrobe in public before boarding my flight has spoiled that for me.

I don't blame people who wear bathrobes and thonged slippers for a flight.
