Now to really throw some cognitive dissonance in here, what if there was massive spying and planned sabotage of the war effort by some Americans of recent Japanese descent? How to you deal with that situation without revealing you've broken a key Japanese code that allows you to know this?

In Hawaii (Pearl Harbor), they beat into your brain that there was never an act of sabotage by the US Japanese during World War 2. The beat it in so bad that I got suspicious and started wondering what they were hiding. Then it occurred to me: They never say anything about spying (or not spying) for Japan. That was my answer.
