I have been reading some articles lately about people stealing the charging cables due to the high content of copper in them.
Now that we have millions of new criminals in this country from outside, and millions more protected from a jail sentence due to laws not being enforced, or laws defanged, that problem isn’t going to improve.
I wonder if the cable contains less than a thousand dollars in copper, if people stealing them can just walk up to them, rip them from the charger, and walk away right under the noses of people with no fear of prosecution, much as shoplifters do now.
Probably not, but you get my point.
There are articles about the high failure rate of these chargers, unlike gas pumps and that the chargers have a life span of 5 to 7.5 years, again unlike gas pumps which last decades.
