Back in the day of S&H Green Stamps, California was one of the few places that didn't give them. They had their own version of stamps called Blue Chip. Guess what color they were?

I grew up in California in the '50s & '60s and remember collecting and redeeming both S&H Green Stamps and Blue Chip Stamps. As I recall, S& H Stamps had been around for quite a while but Blue Chip Stamps first appeared in the early '60s.

Interesting. Pretty much coincides with Warren Buffet’s massive investment in Blue Chip stamps. I only lived in California for two years (1981-83) so don’t know if S&H declined when Buffet decided to promoted Blue Chip or not. Your thoughts?
