I’m pretty sure the headline writer wanted people to infer that. She actually didn’t really OD, and the paramedics who checked on her didn’t take her to the hospital. Like you, I think of OD like drowning or electrocution. You’re dead.

I did read the first sentence, which contained the words “suffered a drug overdose.” I took that to mean she was deceased.
So yes, yes, I admit it. I didn’t read the story before commenting.
From what I see online, electrocution means injury by electricity as well as death.
