I just flew to/from Montreal for a winter performance driving junket and, at Security each way, they made me pull out my wallet and let them poke through it. Really P’d me O.
The winter performance driving junket sounds like fun. But I also would not want any gestapo rifling through my personal effects.
It would tick me off too. Maybe you could apply for the trusted traveller program (Nexus) gymbeau. You don’t have to take your shoes off or take your laptop/tablet out of your carry-on. They leave you alone unless you set off the metal detector. You also receive expedited processing in the US and the Caribbean under the same programme. Having said that, I don’t fly much in Canada and can’t swear to how much it helps for domestic travel.
I don’t even want to fly anymore. Between DEI pilots, pilots who are vaxxed, airplanes falling apart and then add TSA and their BS. I’d feel safer hitchhiking lol.
