It was obvious the day she resigned as U.N. Ambassador that deep pockets had selected Nikki as their 2024 representative.
It's exactly the same as when Hillary resigned as SoS.

Pick the future Presidential Candidate you wish to own...
Get them to resign from government for a few years while you fill their bank accounts. (Books, speaking fees, Board seats, NetFlix gigs)
After all, they'll be unemployed for at least a couple of years while campaigning.

Nikki got out of step with the program because Trump is on the ballot. The original plan called for him to either be term-limited out or vanquished politically by this election cycle. I should add that Ronald Reagan enjoyed something similar to Nikki, HRC and Big Mike, as it was arranged for Reagan to become well-to-do selling a corner of his ranch to 20th Century Fox for $20 million if I recall (Film studio).
