This large ship apparently was sunk just off the southern tip of Crimea below Sevastopol. It was reported on BBC News tonight or other Public TV news stations. Looked quite impressive, they also mentioned the large ship that was sunk 2 weeks ago, as well as other Ukraine successes. I don’t know how Ukraine is doing at Avdiivka, but they are now being called the biggest navy in the Black Sea, and apparently doing it with low cost drone carried bombs, not expensive ships. Makes me wonder if Xi is now rethinking his wish to invade Taiwan.

Regarding Putin’s nukes in space, the latest news said the target would be satellites, not bombs on earth. Of course satellites have been very important as used by Ukraine to fight this war.

Whether people think Ukraine is losing or not, that observation about Ukraine taking out the Russian fleet and China having to look at it is very interesting.

Because this is a threat vector they simply would’ve thought fanciful 2 years ago, and they’ll have to deal with it by pivoting to AI drone swarms.

If Taiwan has had any sense, it’s already watched Ukraine and pivoted to drone technology. If they’re REALLY smart, they’ll be looking at drones that fly under a meter from the sea surface, that are harder to spot and shoot down.

Either way, the conquest by naval supremacy y of Taiwan by Beijing cannot be an immediate priority for Xi. Smart drone swarms against predicted boatloads of mobiks will be as devastating as WW1 machine guns aimed at the expected charge from a trench on the other side of no man’s land.
