“I don’t think I can help you....”

What did I say ?

What did I do ?

I tried to share a bit about myself....

I’m obviously screwing up on a personal level here.
If I’ve offended somehow ... how about some feed back.

Question: What do you think about REIT’S and if you do perhaps you may know a few good ones, such as reasonably priced and paying a decent dividend.

I think one of the better REITs around is SPG, Simon Property Group. $53bn market cap, yielding ~5.5%.

VNQ is also a solid choice. It’s the Vanguard REIT index. $32bn in assets, very liquid, yielding ~4.2%, low expense ratio (0.12%).

“What do you think about REIT'S”

If you don't mind me asking ...

What has stimulated your interest in REITs?

I have heard some talk about rehabbing empty office space, malls ect for housing our new friends from south of the boarder...
This would keep the $$ moving and rents (gov assist) flowing.
just talk as far as I know.... but interesting.

I have been interested as well as invested in REIT’S for quite some time because of the interest rates they are paying. For interest sake and looking at OHI, I looked up Vanguards holding of OHI which is approximately at the current price of
around $30.00, $1,156,219,000 From that I gather that Vanguard isn’t too afraid that OHI is going to fold up any time soon. And Black Rock isn’t too far behind. Well just a thought......take care.

Make sure their "portfolio" isn't shopping centers on the bus line. Or Blue city corporate real estate :)

The way I look at it is this way. Big investment companies or funds like Vanguard or Black Rock can afford a well staffed research department something I cannot. If they think it is worthwhile investing and they put their money where their mouth is, and in some cases it is quite a bit; it is a plus for the particular stock I am interested in, however if a fund doesn’t show any interest in a particular stock tells me to stay away from it, or at least try to find out why they avoid it. Does this make any sense?

” make any sense?”

sure does ... smart thinking
I always check institutional holdings and short interest.

.... and the wind ... and the tea leaves .. and which side of the porch my dog is laying on (I don't really have a dog.)

But if I did I would probably follow the big one.
