Native Americans from East of the Mississippi, as pictured in artworks of the time, are definitely Euro-stock, just as tall as the European colonizers.

Whereas the Western Native Americans are somewhat shorter and more Asian looking that their brethren in the East.

Of course there was mixing and intermarriages and capture of females in tribal wars, so that the pre-Columbian history gets muddied on the Great Plains..................
