Our friend had a partial blockage in his heart... where we live they would correct this by installing stent almost immediately using angioplasty. But because they lived in England... he was put on a waiting list. They had plenty of money put away... my wife suggested that they take a “medical holiday” to Thailand or one of the other countries where this is a fairly inexpensive procedure.

Instead after two years of living miserably and getting progressively worse... he died. This is the same road we are likely heading down but Canada, England and other Common Wealth countries are ahead of us.

I got 2 stents 3 years ago in November just before the Covid
insanity hit. I was driving and walking the day after the procedure.
My wife had a delay in getting a hip replaced and her recovery has been slow, tedious and often painful.
Re your reality quote above: “This is the same road we are likely heading down but Canada, England and other Common Wealth countries are ahead of us.”
Add NZ and USA to your group, you have the now infamous 5 Eyes group focusing on taking away our rights and often holding back need medical treatment like a Stent.
