Putin has relied on historical borders to argue Ukraine is part of Russia and to justify the war.
Mongolia's former president shared a map of the Mongol Empire, which included parts of Russia.
"After Putin's talk. I found Mongolian historic map. Don't worry. We are a peaceful and free nation," he wrote.
The Mongol Empire was once the largest in the world. Its territory covered much of Eurasia and included modern-day China and much of Russia, as well as Ukraine.
Today, Mongolia, between China and Russia, is a smaller country, but it's still one of the world's largest nations in terms of overall landmass.

Yes they did. I just finished watching the 2023 Drama TV series "Bones of Crows" about the Canadian system. There was a movie of the same name in 2022, that they expanded into a 5 part series. The characters portrayed are from the Cree Tribe.
Warring with each other, like the white man, and every other ethic group has done around the world through the ages. Ukraine isn't our battle. It's Europe's.

The Russian Federation is failing and has many fracture points. aggravated by most of the conscripts coming from beyond the Moscow/St Petersburg area, mismanagement on many levels, corruption...
Mostly held together by the Russian military and corruption and they are losing their grip.
Also coming along in a few years will be a Turnip Winter for some of the Russian Federation.
Just like in 1916.
