I find the idea that terrorists are going to attack our elections to be highly suspect.

Terrorists care about big targets/events. They want to instill fear in a big way. They don't care about elections.

The FBI making a case for terrorists attacking elections seems like a pretext for deep state election meddling to me.

Any attacks, no matter how small, spread across the country will give ccp.gov the excuse to lock-down and suspend elections.

Just after 9-11 we had an FBI SA visit our squadron and brief us on our role in watching for people around the airport/flightline. At the end he asked everyone to write down what they would do if they were a terrorist, knowing that the airports, guvmint buildings, etc are being watched.
When I handed him mine, he read it and looked at me and said, "I'm glad you're on our side".
Twenty-Three years later I am wondering - did we supply domestic terrorism suggestions to the enemy?
Scary times.
