Great series of pics, AB! Is that really Jean Stapleton (Edith Bunker) with Alice Cooper? Hard to believe she looked like that during the time she was filming All in the Family.

All in the Family ran from 1971 to 1979, at Jean Stapleton's age 48 to 56. Here is a publicity photo of her during that time:

So I guess it's possibly her in that Studio 54 shot. She might have checked it out, since she was born and raised in Manhattan.

On the other hand, according to Wikipedia, her castmates regarded her as a kind and "angelic" Christian Scientist who never said a negative word. So I guess it could also have been someone's idea of a photoshop joke.

I don't know, because I just swiped it from the Internet. But I do know she gave a lot of people a lot of joy, and her reputed kindness was perfect for the part she played in AITF. She died at age 90 in 2013 -- RIP, Jean.
