To what lengths might our law enforcement agencies go to keep whatever they’re hiding hidden?
It’s election season and the talking heads are all singing the “this will be the most important election of our lifetime” chorus -- for real this time. While this year’s election will certainly be important, I’d argue that 2008 was the most important election in our lifetime. That’s the year in which we were offered a fork in the road, and we chose the “fundamentally transform America” left turn. We’ve just been looking for the “transform it back” off-ramp ever since. However, I am willing to say that 2024 is likely to be the most dangerous election in our lifetime. The deep state has invested a lot to prevent us from “changing it back,” and appears to have no limits on what it’s willing to do to that end.
We got a glimpse of how our bureaucratic overlords view the voters in 2016; when the DoJ, FBI, and CIA worked to influence the election. When their gal failed to win, they continued their efforts to unseat our electoral choice. But all of that was just a warmup for January 6, when they took things to a whole new level.
When pipe bombs were discovered outside the Democrat and Republican headquarter buildings in Washington D.C., it triggered a nationwide investigation. Thousands of MAGA supporters were intimidated interviewed by FBI agents for the suspicious behavior of being in the same zip code as the bombs on January 6 -- oh, and attending a Trump rally.
Also on January 6th, an unarmed insurrection nearly took down our government, at the encouragement of undercover federal assets planted in the crowd (snark intended). Our federal criminal justice system has subsequently imprisoned hundreds, for little more than trespassing and taking selfies

The most dangerous?
Certainly election time has become dangerous, IMHO. Are we really going to have an election or just more of the 2020 ‘democracy’ that the leftest talk about? They were willing to destroy economies, businesses, kill millions, first with riots and then with COVID release last time. Certainly they believe they can do what they want and control the narratives. That makes it very dangerous for every election now.
Yes. Well, until the next one. We are in a recurring downward spiral. JMHO. Trump winning would likely slow if not stop it during and even a little after his term. But I doubt even that is enough to stop it permanently at this point.

No one has the guts to save this country from itself. The government has become too large and we’ve allowed them that power. They’ve got their thumb ready to grind people down to insignificant specks of dust at this point.
I have zero faith in the younger generations. I have zero faith in fed gov, and zero faith in state gov. You all my FRiends are holding onto a false hope that Trump will save us. He won’t and can’t. That would be up to us and no one has the stones to stand up and get the job done.

Generally agree, but there are some bright points on the state side such as Texas, Florida, South Dakota, and a few more. Of course that's part of why the Biden administration has basically declared economic war on Texas with freezing an increase in LNG exports.
If Trump wins, there will be massive violent riots and the powers that be will not allow LE to stop them. If the Dems win, they will come after us using the full power (and then some) of the Deep State.

Johnson outlined his 'War on Poverty' on January 8, 1964 and his 'Civil Rights Act' on July 2, 1964. IMHO that was the beginning of the 'Transformation.'
2008 was simply am acceleration of that transformation by the big eared Kenyan.......
I don’t think Trump getting elected will slow anything down. I think it will just rile up the crazies even more.
When biden was appointed, the good guys protested by wearing funny looking horned hats into the Capitol building.
When Trump was President, the crazies burned down court houses and took over cities.
I think it’s all over at this point. I’ll just live out my days here and Galt’s Gulch and eat lot’s of popcorn.

Law enforcement where I vote can barely tuck in their shirts. All politics are local. This kind of tripe will be used to complain when “your” candidate loses.
Wish I could disagree with you. Unfortunately cannot expect for one point: Trump would get to appoint one, two, or three Justices to the U.S. Supreme Court and many other federal judges. That could have a lasting impact.

I believe the article is right and violence will mar this election like it does in 3rd Worlds nations. Hundreds of Americans will die this November. Riots, race based horror shows that will burn cities, bombs and drones will make this obscene. The left will not let power slip from them without a fight. Violence has been used in the past. I pray I am dead wrong on this. I can not see the Left permitting a Trump Victory and peaceful transferal of power.

In answer to the title question, in our lifetime? I’d say yes.
Couple the election with what’s going on in Texas with reminders of what happened in 2016 (where the rat’s couldn’t believe they lost) and 2020 (where the rats made certain they’d win), and things could be quite dangerous in some states.
Possibility in point: Imagine proven election fraud in some big blue city where those peacefully protesting the fraud are rounded up as insurrectionists by the hundreds and put into dungeons. Imagine this happening in most large blue cities on the left and east coast.
I’m just happy to live in the middle of nowhere in a red state and will not be a party to any of it.
