Who goes to Chuck E. Cheese for the food?! No one does!
I love my Twinkies cookbook.
Okay, now I am ready to go full neocon let's start bombing the bastards now. Our civilization can only absorb so many blows, and that should not be one of them.
Countless copy cat Chuck E. Cheese recipes online.
It's not anything gourmet style, and has never claimed to be. But for a slab of pie, it's really not half bad.
The catch is, you can only get it a Chuck E Cheese. The frozen stuff at the grocery store isn't even close.
“If you’ve ever been halfway through a slice of pizza at a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant and thought to yourself, “Man, I wish I could make this for myself at home,” then first off, please get in touch because you are the kind of human being we’d like to interrogate...”
^^^ Kudos to Food & Wine for give me my best laugh of the week.
1) Get a piece of thin cardboard
2) Cut it into wedge shapes
3) Get the cheapest tomato sauce you can find
4) Put it on the cardboard
5) Sprinkle a processed cheese food on top
6) Heat to taste
Two different Chuck E. Cheese’s opened in my neck of the woods. The first one opened around 1980. It was part of the new mall that opened that year. I took my two sons there every so often. I can’t recall when it closed. 20+ years later, another, smaller Chuck E. Cheese opened in the same area. It closed sometime in 2020, likely because of Covid.
