Self-flagellation and golf slide continuation

I was unfamiliar with that ritual until now, though I do occasionally engage in a mild version of it on the golf course and at the bridge table. No blood is drawn unless I’m biting my tongue listening to a hopeless liberal, so I didn’t recognize it in your photo.
Good for you for getting out to play last week, and nice scoring! You must live somewhere temperate. I played four rounds last week too but had to travel far away to do it. I had 5 birdies in the 4 rounds but also took two 9’s on the same crazy-hard watery hole (*sigh*). I hadn’t played since September because my fiscal year-end is August 31 and I have to bear down near the end of September to get everything done and to the accountant by October 31. Then bridge travel starts. I have too many time-intensive hobbies. Something has to go and I think it should be work!
I hope you get to keep playing, stylin. My next rounds won’t be until Puerto Rico in April. I expect my own course will be open when I return.
Just trying to keep you focused: Neither self Flagellation nor golf, or even bridge should require self-lighting stompy shoes.——well, maybe bridge, but that’s all.

i live about 40 miles west of downtown Chicago (This area has been somewhat temperate for the last 25 years or so. The weather we used to get is now on the east side of lake michigan,)
and the course is about the same distance from chicago but south of me. my ride is 19 miles.
We played the course tees 2 in from the tips about 6000 yards. (tips play at 6800+ i usually play one in about 6500). depends on the course.
I’ll probably play 2 in or the senior tees from now on.
keep hittin ‘em hard...they’ll come down somewhere.
