So were you one of those hang gliders I used to see around Mt. Si and also Lake Chelan?
No. The closest that I have flown to Mt. Si was at Tiger Mountain a few miles down the road in Issaquah in a paraglider. Both of those sites are better suited for paragliders. I have done that at Tiger a couple of times.
But speaking of airsickness, paragliders make me airsick. Instead of soaring prone and swooping like a bird... in a paraglider you are always swiveling your body back and forth to use your legs like rudders to supplement your control lines and make your turns tighter. So you are swinging back and forth while you are going up and down and making steep turns. I t just doesn’t work very well for me which is why I never purchased one of my own even though your chance of breaking a limb are somewhat less.
My friends and I went to Dog Mountain near Morton the most. But I have been to sites all around Western Washington, Oregon and down to California. But strangely enough I never have flown at Lake Chelan.
