Currently reading several: The Wit and Wisdom of Father George Rutler - Fr. Rutler is a bit of a Renaissance man, with a broad range of interests and a lively mind.
The Frontiersman, by Allan W. Eckert - my third or fourth reading of it since the mid-70's. It's a biographical novel, and deeply spell-binding in its relating of the early settlement of the Ohio Valley. Two historical luminaries are the central figures: Simon Kenton, a peer of Daniel Boone, and Tecumseh, a remarkable man for his situation. The book is based on journals and diaries. Brings that era to life.
Heretics, by G.K. Chesterton. Chesterton is always a delight.

I loved The Frontiersman!
Another great read is Follow The River by James Alexander Thom.

...and don’t neglect the remainder of his series of Eastern indian nations of the time, six more equally educational and thrilling reads. I remain in awe if the research gone into all of his works!
