Was it a pageant for plus size woman?
Hopefully! Plus sized women might be attractive to some, but not to everyone, especially those who see morbid obesity as a serious health issue, and not something to be celebrated. While they understand it is hard to lose weight, many folks just give up trying and turn around and demand that society find them irresistibly gorgeous... not gonna happen!
HOWEVER, having said that, a beauty contest between just overweight women can and should be a thing... there are many wo,en who are beautiful ut who struggle with weight, and they should be given a chance to showcase their beauty too- but having them co pete agaisnt women who are not morbidly obese, and win, just sends a message that they won because of political correctness, not overall good looks. (Unless they truly are the best looking woman of the group I guess)
