Streaming is cheap to do, but if you don’t have any programs that people want to pay the streaming fee for, then you’re done.

We’ve been watching some older movies and TV shows recently.
There is so much out there , as far as the quantity of older programming made before the politically correct era, , I don’t think i would miss Hollywood or the major TV networks. if they never produced anything else.

We've been watching old television shows, like "Good Times", "Space 1999", "Mission Impossible", and so forth.
There is some modern stuff that is good, but there is a lot that's just crap.

Paramount has been entertaining buyout offers - the son of Larry Ellison (founder of Oracle, multi billionaire) has a big time entertainment company producing many of the big Tom Cruise movies; video games and TV shows. They reportedly made an all cash offer for Paramount backed by L.E.’s cash.
Layoffs may be due to cash flow but it may also have to do with cleaning up the books to get a better price.

They spend too much on these productions, I have no idea where the money goes since most of these modern films look awful.
Star Wars a new hope adjusted for inflation cost 55 million and rise of Skywalker cost 400 million.
Which one will stand the test of time more?

What. You think there is no market for a transvestite groomer super-hero? Who would think the 'Ambiguously Gay Duo' has been on television for 28 years.
To: DiogenesLamp
Woah! Max Americana hasn't posted in over a year. Not a good sign.
Does anyone know if he's alright?

Streaming is great. It costs far less than distributing physical media. The problem is they have no content people are willing to pay for.
To: T.B. Yoits
Maybe they can apply for Illegal Alien status. Then they’ll be taken care of.
