The interesting thing, to me, is that so many of the so-called “elites” and elite wanna be's came from humble, normal back grounds.

They have forgotten their roots, obviously

That thing of forgetting ones roots is quite common.

Its mentioned a lot in Bernard Andersons “Imagined Communities”, which is a classic in sociology.

Im sorry I only read that in 2021. It explains a lot.
