I describe my self as a Christian, libertarian conservative, Pro 2A, and Pro national defense.
I’ve been banned from several “conservative” sites for reasons unknown to me, and have gotten “Time-outs” from some not so liberal sites. Of course I never comment or read any liberal sites.
I think Free republic has improved in the last twenty years, in that they now tolerate a wider array of opinions than they used to, eg used to be, one “curse” word and you were “Zotted” and banned forever.
One thing I would like to see is concept of attacking ideas and not personalities. In addition to commentators not taking criticism of your ideas or people taking opposing ideas personally.
Last thing, we need an edit function to fix things that don’t read quite right on a third or fourth reading.

I was on a “weird news” type of website called “Fortean Times.” It had always seemed essentially non-political. It seemed the users were primarily in the UK and Europe.

There was some negative post about Trump and I respectfully disagreed, expressed my observations and provided a link to a liberal source. I was banned without notification nor warning.
