“Kansas City Chiefs fan and HIV scientist Jordan Willis whose three friends were found dead in his backyard after he ‘went to bed’.”
From the Daily Mail article:
“This is the Kansas City Chiefs fan who says he was sleeping when his three friends died in his backyard in freezing temperatures on January 7. “
Likely, they got drunk, passed out and froze to death. I’ve witnessed this in real life.
I was at my office in (at the time) Rosenberg, Texas, on a Monday in early January in (I think)’79. We saw a man, a woman and tween-age child, wandering around in the field across the street. Then they stopped and I heard a scream.
The family had been searching between a nearby apartment building, where their son had gone to a party the night before, and their house, because he hadn’t come home. They found him in the field. He had gotten drunk, tried to walk home, passed out and froze to death. Colder than Hillary’s heart (if she even has one) outside in January that year.
That was my first reaction on reading the KC fan story in the Daily Mail this morning. Might be more to it than that, but...
Re Froze to death:
That is the likely explanation. But his job is interesting.
