Poles shifting? You’re saying I shouldn’t spend any money on new compasses for awhile? But maybe there’s a bizness opportunity coming?. Send me your old compasses and I’ll scratch a new declination angle on them——don’t want anybody getting lost on their way home.

Well, considering that airports are re-labeling runways to match the current magnetic pole position, you may have something there...

Pole shifts happen on earth. The question how often and how much does it effect us? On the sun its ever 11 years which is the schwabe cycle. We observe schwabe cycle from the sun spot frequencies. Though as you notice with the sun there is more sun spot activity until the pole flips then it calms down.

In other words before a major pole shift on earth we should more internal activities. Volcano's and earthquakes before the flip I also believe for a planet to do this it needs energy from an out side source such as a passing star(Sirius)

A passing star through our system would also cause a great deal of activities on our sun. Which a massive solar flare or nova is likely and a high electrical output. Which I believe is how Venus was formed and killed Mars (different events)
