I could not disagree more. The above is assuming that most Americans like Pedo, are fearful and afraid to say anything the government might not like, don’t care about the open border, etc. Not accurate at all.

——-
At least not for today’s Texans, of which I am one.

The Texas border is not Waco and this is not 1993 and Abbott is not like slime ball Bush that would side with Mexico.

Texans can be very patient, but there is a limit. The DS has shown themselves prematurely; a lot of old school Texans are still living and their progeny is mostly patriotic and conservative.

Side note:
The Texas flag is the only flag of an American State having previously served as a flag of a recognized independent country.

Isn’t there something in the Texas constitution or other document that states it can be a separate country if they want? (ha non-technical gradeschool-speak)

I have been told so, but the feds try to make us believe it can’t be done. They play word games. In regard to Texas sovereignty and the border situation, I have an excerpt below:

https://www.texaspolicy.com/the-dojs-attack-on-texas-sovereignty/

Here’s why Texas should stand firm.

The Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution explicitly recognized the states, representing their people respectively, as sovereign for any power not delegated to the federal government nor prohibited to them. As the late Justice Scalia reminded us in his partial dissent to Arizona v. United States, there is no clause in the Constitution or law depriving states of “the power to exclude from the sovereign’s territory people who have no right to be there.”

In addition, the U.S. Constitution has explicitly made an exception to the power of the federal government to engage in war to allow states to defend themselves—their territorial integrity and their citizens—against sudden or imminent foreign aggression (Article I, Section 10, Clause 3), which the Mexican cartels are currently engaging in at our southern border.

Finally, under the Texas Constitution, Article 4, Section 7, the governor is commander in chief of the military forces of the state and has “the power to call forth the militia to execute the laws of the State … and to repel invasions.”
