Understood. I can’t even imagine how difficult it must be to be a BP agent these days; being pulled in different directions.
My nephew is a Fed. Started from college with Treasury.
Moved to DHS. Was working on a violent crimes task force,
with NYPD and NYCHA.
He’s currently in AZ 10 miles north of the border, processing illegals. Has to do 6 wks.
Anecdotal I know but this is not good.

I know that what I’ve been hearing about the border has considerably deflated my morale…to be an agent having to process invaders has to be 10 times worse.
I imagine that this is what the DS has planned.
I hope your nephew is able to withstand the pressure. Send him (our) well wishes if you can.
