Got the home defense thing covered. But Humvees are a bit slow and clumsy to suit me. There’s plenty of Big block hardware with heavy 4X4 mounting gear to start. And that pile of steel plate out back is easy to make decent body work. The only thing I might have to stock up on is welding rod.

Caliber-wise one needs to stick with stuff that can be had at the hardware store. Anything that starts with .30 is OK. Powered feeding takes a little planning but is not an actual problem either.

I agree about sticking with the small stuff. However, with what the local 'big stuff' is, even my favorite, a mk7 16"/50, is considered small stuff.
