I’ve decided to go with all hybrids - except for the wedges - and retire or re-sell the blades.(I’ve got a game improvement set of irons i will keep.)

Once i get out of this flu nonsense, I’ll start firing it up indoors.

I’m moving up to the senior tees (or no more than 6500 yards) full time this coming season.

I like your plan. Pride ALWAYS precedes our own destruction and there’s no joy to be had in being frustrated every time we play. Golf is a game of constant adaptation, whether it’s to the course conditions, challenging weather, unpleasant playing companions or advancing physical limitations. Being able to accept the changes and adapt to them allows us to continue enjoying the game. 38 is a very fine score! I’m proud of you stylin for making the changes that will allow you to love the game again!

I hear you about the jones’n. I shovelled more snow today and, as soon as I get caught up in the news, I’m going to find someplace warm to go in early February to get a few rounds in.

A Federal Court in Canada ruled today that Turdeau’s invocation of the Emergencies Act to clear the truckers from Ottawa in February 2022 was unreasonable and infringed upon Canadians’ Charter rights. YIPPEE!

Justice Richard Mosley wrote “I have concluded that the decision to issue the Proclamation does not bear the hallmarks of reasonableness – justification, transparency and intelligibility – and was not justified in relation to the relevant factual and legal constraints that were required to be taken into consideration.”

Justice Mosley added that, while he had initially believed the Emergencies Act invocation was justified in response to an “unacceptable breakdown of public order,” arguments by the Canadian Constitution Foundation and Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms led him to see otherwise.

Mosley agreed with Turdeau’s claim that the situation was “critical” and required an urgent resolution by governments, but he did not agree with the conclusion that other laws in Canada could not have dealt with the protests, pointing out that the provincial governments of Quebec and Ontario had been able to deal with the protests on their own. “For these reasons, I conclude that there was no national emergency justifying the invocation of the Emergencies Act and the decision to do so was therefore unreasonable and ultra vires,” he wrote.

The judge also said Turdeau’s decision to freeze the bank accounts of some protestors was “not minimally impairing,” as the regulations applied everywhere in Canada, including in areas where protests were not happening, and because there were “less impairing alternatives available” to Turdeau.

Justice Mosley said the federal government’s economic orders violated protestors’ charter rights “by permitting unreasonable search and seizure of the financial information of designated persons and the freezing of their bank and credit card accounts.”

I can’t begin to express how happy I am about this decision, and even happier that Chrystia Freeland Deputy PM, is very unhappy about it. She stated that the feds will be appealing the decision to the Supreme Court of Canada.

My first hybrid was the ole 3 iron replacement. I loved it immediately and wanted a whole bag of them. I had a persimmon 4 wood back in the day that was money from 190-210. I still play with the sand wedge I used in high school. That wedge is my Billy Baroo.
