One finds something interesting about Eurasianet, the latest "egging one on" source:

From the hallowed halls of Columbia University and with financial "egging on" from those wack Google and Open Society folks.Quite interesting, as eurasianet.org was registered in 2000 in New York. Their "About" page states "Eurasianet is a tax-exempt [501(c)3] organization based at Columbia University’s Harriman Institute, one of the leading centers in North America of scholarship on Eurasia. We are funded by Google, the Open Society Foundations, the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, the National Endowment for Democracy, Columbia University’s Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies and other grant-making institutions, and are advised by a board of trustees."
