To: week 71

I know many people swear by peanut butter for mouse traps, but I seen mice lick it right off without springing the trap. I’m old school, smashing a bit of sharp cheddar on the bait piece.

A softer bait like chocolate or peanut butter needs to be shoved all the way into the curl of the bait pedal. Make the little bastards work for it ...

They did that to me too. I put a small piece of paper towel around the spring loaded portion that would not come off and then spread the peanut butter on it and that fixed the issue of just licking it off.

Apparently, they try to get that piece of paper towel soaked in the PB and set off the trap. Has worked every time for me so far.

Hot glue seeds, dog food, chicken scratch to the trap. Works every time!
