There were two black swans in a fenced pond near our home. They were always together. Each year they’d have have some cygnets, but until this year they either died or were eaten. This year one grew to maturity. We went away for a awhile and when we returned there was only one swan. We wondered what happened.
Last week the caretaker told us the new swan first killed his father, and then his mother.
Don’t mess with swans.
