Trump's blowout win in Iowa sure does send a message about those politicized prosecutions

One wonders what it's like to be Jack Smith, Alvin Bragg, Leticia James, or Fani Willis waking up to watch CNN this morning.

Here's CNN:

Former President Donald Trump’s huge win in the Iowa caucuses on Monday enshrines one of the most astonishing comebacks in American political history.

Losing one-term presidents almost never mount subsequent successful primary campaigns, much less pull off landslides that demonstrate utter dominance of their party. Trump transformed the GOP in his populist, nationalist, nihilistic image in 2016. By claiming 50% of the vote in the biggest win in caucus history, putting him on course to his third consecutive nomination, he showed that eight years after his outsider presidential victory, the current GOP is entirely his party.

“The big night is going to be in November, when we take back our country,” Trump told his first proper victory party since he shocked the world by winning the 2016 election. His MAGA-hat wearing crowd greeted him with chants of “Trump, Trump, Trump” beneath two vast screens reading “Trump wins Iowa!”

Astonishing to them, of course.

It sounds like the voters have some unfinished business they'd like to take care of.

And what it really says, aside from the unfinished business of Trump, who, after all, was defrauded of his victory in 2020, is that the prosecutors attempting to take down Trump are only building Trump back better.

Their prosecutions have effectively kept Trump from post-presidential obscurity, and put him front and center of the news, talked about every day, as the underdog everyone's rooting for, in voters' minds. That may explain the intensity of the support for Trump. in a place where voters had to trudge through snow in Arctic sub-freezing temperatures to do so.

More to the point, it's a vote of no confidence...

I doubt that what Jack Smith, Alvin Bragg, Leticia James, or Fani Willis said can be put in print.

This analysis is correct. The indictments changed Trump from being a rude and disagreeable old man to America’s Nelson Mandela.

They also forced DeSantis and Haley to take a stand—courage or cowardice—and they chose cowardice.

We would never have known otherwise.

“...his populist, nationalist, nihilistic image in 2016”

She is crazy.

If you aren’t “populist” then you are in favor of the elites ruling you in contravention of freedom and liberty.

If you aren’t “nationalist” then you are in favor of tens of millions of uneducated, diseased, third-worlders strolling across the border and demanding we care for them.

And “nihilistic” — what the hell is she talking about? Nihilism is is the doctrine that nothing actually exists or that existence or values are meaningless. Trump is the ANTI-nihilist. He believes in personal worth and dignity, in the value of human life, in freedom and liberty, and God. All those are the OPPOSITE of nihilism. Democrats are the very essence of nihilism.

Last night Vivek withdrew and endorsed President Trump.

Trump made a great decision to skip the debates. A real OG move. Still, someone needed to go in there and regulate those RINO-tards. Vivek was the man who got the job, and he did it very well.

I go to Drudge occasionally to see what's the latest over the top biased reporting. They didn't disappoint today. Huge Red Headline says

HALF OF REPUBLIICANS DON'T WANT TRUMP.

The Supreme Court reads the news as well.

How is history going to judge this court. Their legacy will depend on how they finally rule on the Democrats using the state’s power to persecute a political rival.

All part of the master plan for former MD Governor Larry Who? to come in as a third party candidate and snatch victory from President Trump.

Gallery of past wannabes.....

“Be sure your words are sweet; you may have to eat them someday.”

Trouble with debates and stump speeches during campaigns is they haunt the speakers when turning in resumes for a job from the winner. “I meant rotten danger to the country’s future in a nice way.”

I’ll be very honest

As I have explained my mindset in other posts , that of being a desantis supporter then switching to Haley after 3 dreadful debates by Desantis

I can tell you that I am a typical flip flopper

There are millions like me

I watched all the speeches yesterday and I will repeat what I have said in other posts

Yesterdays speech by trump was one of reconciliation , adult like , calmness and positivity. It was one of his better speeches

I , a flip flopper, was pleasantly surprised by his attitude and his delivery last night. It’s imperative he continues in the same way as his delivery of his speech last night.

He needs to go and get the independents, they are flip floppers like me , if he can sway me he will be able to sway millions like me over to him. He won’t be able to do with only hard core republicans.

The magic word is “reconciliation”

He needs to be less abrasive and more reconciliatory just like he did last night. I was impressed and very happy for him.

He needs to be reconciliatory with Desantis and Haley , he needs to show forgiveness he needs to show he can work with everyone

He has the republicans in the bag now he needs to switch 5% of independents

I am really more of a Ramaswamy guy than Trump guy, but I would love to see the 2 together on a ticket.

To: When do we get liberated?

Won’t happen

He needs to get the independents, not push them away.

Trump won in 2016, Trump won in 2020 and Trump will win again in 2024. Those are the facts. There is no comeback, just sustained winning.
