The irony is, these old socialists back in the day were free-thinking hippies, or so they told everybody.
Their free thoughts were usually how nice it would be to get laid, do drugs, and drop out of society, never doing any work, or even housework. I wish they had stayed dropped out but now they’ve returned, with an identical set of values, except for dropping out, instead they would like to be in charge.
There was a show called Charles in charge, right? Now it’s a reality show.
