Sick isn’t it. I’ve read some books where the U.S. Airmen were warned to look out for the “red tails” when flying in WWII. To be honest, I don’t know what happened because I wasn’t there. Those books could have been throwing in some racism, I don’t know but that didn’t appear to be the author’s intent when he briefly mentioned this. A big one - liner is all.
