“She’s still around at 92!.................”
Probably has to open lower buttons to flash her tits now.
In the Sopranos the smoking scenes were everywhere—cigars, cigarettes—all over the place.
Anyone who complained knew what was gonna happen to them...
;-)
It’s not just TV that is dead... the same can be said of music. Most TV commercials use music from the past several decades. One even uses snippets from Puccini’s “Madame Butterfly”.
The Golden Age of television ended in 1956 after the 39th and final episode of The Honeymooners aired.
This is about TV, not movies.
I don’t read any articles either... but it’s in the title.
Of course they “could.” But the producers today rely on CGI and old stories. I mean, how many times can Godzilla be resurrected?
Actually the Sopranos started the bad system of 10 episodes a year, and then you have to wait two years for the next season.
It brought us Yellowstone which just………stops mid season.
It’s all the same sh*t, being done by the same sh*tty talentless people.
Is there much agreement about exactly what constitutes great television? I think X-Files screenwriter Darin Morgan’s shows, including “Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose,” were great television. Also, there were a few genuinely great episodes of “House, M.D.” I tend to find really old television shows to be mediocre, however popular their stars were. The screenwriting just wasn’t there.
Oh, you mean the same bull$hit propaganda that's run by the main stream media here.
It’s all become predictable woke propaganda.
I’m not into TV series that glamorize criminals. I worked in uniform for 25 years in NY State’s prison system. I can’t even stand watching any series or movies that take place in prisons. I’m more into history based programs.
I try not to watch ads. I got rid of cable in 2022, so stream everything now. Some of the programs I watch have ads, which if I can, I fast forward through, or if I can’t fast-forward through them, I mute the sound.
I mute every time Frank Thomas is selling his trash
There’s another one pushing generic Viagra with about 5-6 guys reading the same script in copycat commercials
It’s ridiculous
Of course if you can’t take the language and violence, there’s always the PAX TV version of The Sopranos

“I’m not into TV series that glamorize criminals.”
With your former profession I can see that.
Unfortunately a lot of the best TV series do that—probably because many/most? law abiding citizens have fantasies about breaking the law and trying to get away with it—something they would never dare do in their conventional real life.
Ironically that is what your tagline is all about...
Communists have zero sense of humor.
I thought so, also. Most viewers wanted some pat ending where the Soprano family is mowed down by the guy approaching the restaurant or some big gun fight from Tony's entourage against the faceless assassin's hidden henchman. I thought it was perfect for the tone of the series. It left me wondering and I like surprises.
The ending was pretty clear as to what happened, as Chase said, “It’s all there.”
Of course we don’t know what happened to Tony’s daughter when she walked into the restaurant, do we?
;-)
My opinion: Godfather III gives the clue.
Yes. See post 14.
