The democRAT lawfare tactic is new. I am afraid what these cretins will try when lawfare hoaxes fail.

While Reagan had his opponents, the opposition to Trump is magnitudes worse. When Reagan ran against Carter, the idea of Borking an opponent was in its infancy, lawfare was unknown, cable news shows were just getting started, the internet and all the social media sites were not in existence.

I remember leftist contempt for Ronald Reagan. It was profound, and based on supreme arrogance and contempt for anyone who did not share their belief structure.

Reagan was excoriated by the best and the brightest, but it was just as visceral and widespread as the animus against Trump Not even close. Not even in the same universe.

There are big differences- in 1980, the GOP was divided between the Ford Moderates and Reagan Conservatives, but united to defeat Carter. In 2024, I see Never-Trump GOPers openly sabotaging his chances of winning if he's the nominee (as well as DeSantis because he's not sufficiently "RINO"ey).
Secondly, the nation is much less Anglo-Caucasian. The immigrants and minorities tend to vote Democrat.
Finally, in 1980 Democrats loved America as much as the GOP. It's just that they had a different philosophy in how to Make America Great. In 2024, the Democrat Party openly LOATHES AND DESPISES this country, and are willing to do anything to turn us into a Third World $hit Hole resembling the Hunger Games, and to send their political opponents to Concentration Camps.

I think Trump is going to win beyond the margin of fraud this time. That is due to two things. Firstly, a lot of people who may have gone over to Biden remember how much better things were under Trump and realize they screwed up in 2020. Secondly, tens of millions of us realize how crooked the 2020 election was and know the Democrats stole it...and we are determined to ram 4 more years of Trump right down their throats good and hard.

It’s hard to recapture the contempt with which Reagan was excoriated by the best and the brightest George Will excoriated Reagan in every column until just a week before the election.

Seems early to be counting chickens. The steal has not even begun in earnest. We have a long way to go and all they have to do is drag out some line of floozies to say what they want said. They already know how Trump will respond and it does not help him.
I was very dismayed when a woman in Iowa asked him what he would go about the economy. He never did give an answer but instead railed against xiden. Not a good look.
