Assuming the billionaire grandmother likes the kid, she has an expectation to get a tidy inheritance. She won’t starve.

Grandma is dead. Grandma probably had lots of grand children (she had four daughters) and this is her share of the $4.2 billion.

Traudl Engelhorn-Vechiatto
Gertraud “Traudl” Engelhorn-Vechiatto (born January 19, 1927 in Vienna; died September 22 , 2022 in Switzerland) was an Austrian billionaire heiress, patron and philanthropist.

Her husband Friedrich Wilhelm Euler was instrumental in developing the resources to identify Jewish people in pre war Germany.

He began his career as an archivist in the Reich Ministry of the Interior in 1933 . Under Achim Gercke , he was busy collecting genealogical and statistical data on mixed marriages and Jewish mixed races . His “Mongrel Numbers” were also the database for the Nuremberg Laws passed in 1935 . He estimated the number of Jews and “Jewish mixed races” in Germany at 1.5 million. His research into Jewish ancestors went back to the 17th century . His focus was on detecting “racial mixing” between “Aryans” and Jews. After Gercke was relieved of all his positions in January 1935 and Kurt Mayer , the later head of the Reich Office for Kinship Research , became his successor, Euler initially moved to the Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda , where he worked with Wilhelm Ziegler at the Institute for the Study of the Jewish Question . For the publication The Jews in Germany, Euler provided data about Jewish supervisory boards and bankers who allegedly ruled the Weimar Republic.

Dismissed from ministerial service in 1935, Euler soon became a research officer and archivist in Munich at the Reich Institute for the History of the New Germany under Walter Frank. There he became an employee of Wilhelm Grau . In 1936 he compiled statistics on Jewish baptisms and mixed marriages in Germany. This work was of direct identification importance. Since 1944, he was a Reich archivist and was assigned to the cultural department of the Foreign Office . He was indispensable in the Second World War , but was called up to the army (Wehrmacht) several times (Upper Silesia). Towards the end of the war he was taken prisoner by the Americans.

Euler dedicated further work, among other things, to the “backcrossing of mixed-race Jews”. With backcrossing, Euler wanted to “prove that the blood was stronger than the will to racial assimilation, no matter how serious”. He discussed the descendants of the Mendelssohn family in detail. To work on this work, Euler published a call for members of historical societies to help record conversions of Jews to a Christian denomination via the General Search Sheet for Kinship Researchers . Marriages and descendants of these people, as well as all mixed marriages of baptized Jews, should also be recorded. In 1939 this call was reprinted. With his research, Euler wanted to prove the “infiltration of Jewish blood” into the upper class. In his backcrossing publications, he put forward the thesis that the “racial characteristics of Jewish ancestors rarely disappeared from their offspring because the blood was stronger than the will to racial assimilation, no matter how serious.”

After 1940, Euler expanded his research to Italy, France and England. In 1941 he published a paper about the “Judaization of the English upper class”. A series appeared in the Illustrated Observer from January to April 1942 with the headline “Who Rules England? A look into the upper class of the Empire”. He later worked on the Diplomatic Yearbook on Jewish World Politics, which was published in 1944 without naming the authors.
