The Daily Mail article’s title reads in part:
“First ever genome study of mummies reveals they were more Turkish and European than African”
If the Genesis account is correct, mankind descended from Noah’s family after the cataclysmic flood. The ark they built landed in the mountains of Ararat, which borders Turkey, Armenia and Iran.
There seems to be an agreement between that study and the account of Genesis.

So........how soon before we see the Drive-By Media headline: DNA RACIST! Discovered by white people, DNA is a product of white privilege, white supremacy, and colonization. All of the 23andme, Ancestry.com results have to immediately be redone.

bases found in a DNA molecule: adenine (A), cytosine (C), guanine (G), and thymine (T) must be renamed, reexamined, and corrected.
Adenine will now be Adebro
Cytosine will be Cytobro
Guanine becomes Guabro
Thymine becomes Thybro
Any chromosome or protein markers that indicate whiteness will have an asterisk with warnings that Antifa and BLM will be given the addresses of where they live and work.

I think this "previously believed" is simply a theory pushed by black Americans.
They Ptolemy Dynasty came to rule Egypt in 300 BC which is 1100 years after the mummies that were tested and proved to be European in 1400 BC.

I think they were transitional, but generally closer to the peoples of the Levant rather than Nubians or Ethiopians. A Roman official in Acts 2137-38 is surprised that Paul can speak Greek, having thought he was an Egyptian. There are little statues of soldiers who look black from the New Kingdom but they could be mercenaries imported from Nubia. Ammianus Marcellinus in the fourth century AD has an offhand comment about Egyptians generally being swarthy, whatever he meant by that.

Then there were the Anatolian farmers who build Gobeki Tepi and another, even earlier, site between 13,500 and 10,800BC. But none of them were Greeks, which was the subject of my post.
Now take samples from random Jews, and test them against DNA from their Historic graves. I seriously want to see if “those who say they are Jews, are or are not”.
I have not seen any DNA on the people of Gobeki Tepi. We don’t have any reports of significant movement of peoples into anatolia between the time of Gobeki Tepi and the movement of anatolian farmers out of the area starting roughly 5000-6000 bc. so it may be safe to say that they are the same people.
what is know is that these anatolian farmer crossed into greece where there were western hunter gatherers. Over the next millenium or so they spread out throughout europe and mixed with resident hunter gatherers including Greece.
About 3000 bc the various groups of the pontic steppe or what is now ukraine and parts of russia moved west into europe and balkans.
All of this happened before the pharoahs built their pyramids. The old kingdom didn’t start up until about 2600 bc.
