Interesting!... And scary! I used to be a contractor for the Feds and produced a video about the ice core lab. They had me stand under the cooler, in full arctic wear, to feel what -50 was like. I could only handle about ten seconds before I was forced to move to the balmy -20 area of the lab. Many people will die.
I can’t imagine 50 or 60 below! I guess everyone has seen videos of a hot cup of coffee being tossed out in such temperatures and it immediately freezes.
Huge parts of Asia have been dealing with just those conditions, plus much snow, since November. North America is lucky to have a relatively mild winter so far - that’s changing now.
