This is my opinon: It’s not really a right or wrong decision per say, they way I look at it. Meeting a young woman, even if a very good woman, may just not be what a man is destined to do at that time. I think if you listen to the song there is no real regret at his path but just really reflecting on the nature of life and what may have been. Sometimes it is just not to be.
I never said he regretted it. I meant he made the best decision- for the world of music and humanity in general.
