Aaron Rodgers offered no apologies to Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday. Kimmel, the late-night TV host from ABC who believed he was slandered by the Jets quarterback last week when Rodgers, on his weekly paid appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” implicated him as possibly being on the Jeffrey Epstein documents to be released.
Kimmel, who aggressively shot back at Rodgers last week on X and threatened legal action, went scorched earth on the 40-year-old quarterback and torched him in his Monday night monologue, saying he was owed an apology from Rodgers but wasn’t expecting one.
Kimmel’s expectations were met. “I don’t have any apologies, not (for) that guy from ABC,” Rodgers said on Tuesday’s show.

I don’t like J. Kimmel as a person, but I agree with him here. That was a stupid and damaging remark to make about a man with a family to protect. Aaron has spent his whole life playing a child’s ball game, though on a professional level.
He has a good mind for game strategy, but seems to forget not everything is a game. This is how a popular person “cancels” themself. He still doesn’t quite get why Kimmel isn’t just laughing it off like usual.
I can’t keep Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon straight
they seem like the same person
Also, Kimmel has done videos of himself with Adam Perry Lang on his show. How can he now claim he never met/heard of him?
I never got this. There are people alleged to know Epstein whose family have been attacked? Why?

His comment can be seen as possibly unkind, but not legally actionable.
I think Rodgers can say whatever he wants.
If he heard or saw that Kimmel was on the list, then he can say that he heard or saw Kimmel on the list. If it turns out to be incorrect information, all Rodgers should have to do is show his source, and technically Kimmel’s case is against the source.
Are you or I going to be brought up on libel or slander cases because we discuss articles that turn out to be false here on FR?
Why would we be. Everyone everwhere would have to shut up and no one would talk ever again.
Kimmel is whipping it up for two reasons, I think;
1) No controversy is a bad controversy when you just want ratings
2) The media has hated Rodgers ever since he made (according to the media) controversial statements about covid and the ‘vaccines’ that they didn’t approve of. So of course he wants to take the chance to heap on the guy
I don’t know if this bothered Rodgers, but Kimmel has said that people who weren’t vaccinated should never be allowed in hospitals/ be able to get medical care.
They are.
I was wondering this as well.
“I heard this guy did something wrong. Let’s attack his middle school kid!”
Is this world is that F’d up? I would be surprised.
You make a fair point. If you don’t want to be made fun of, lied about, etc., don’t try to be a famous person. Go be a plumber or a forest ranger.
I would draw the line at calls to violence. Otherwise, make the denial then move on. And if really bothers you, go be a plumber or a forest ranger.
Does not the Sullivan decision apply to Kimmel?
Need a Wikipedia link to the “Streisand Effect.”
That figures.
Kimmel has typically repeated all the popular liberal mantras and creados, as a way to form his bond with other self deluded drones. That’s his schtick or his brand.
One, Rodgers didn’t say Kimmel was on the list.
Two, how many false statements has Kimmel made about Trump over the years?
Three, regarding Kimmel’s family, that seems like made up comment for sympathy.
Four, has Kimmel ever worried about the safety of Trump’s family caused by Kimmel’s comments?
Rodgers is fine. Sorry…. Kimmel will take the damage from it all.
Certain folks cannot be cancelled , Rodgers is one and well it would seem at some level Jimmys been associated with Epsteins orbit . Thats all it takes. That is more evidence than Kimmel provides on a regular basis regarding his continual antiTrump screeds.
Turn about is fair play.
